Castle Teylingen is a Dutch castle ruin in the neighborhood of Teijlingen close to Sassenheim. It was presumably the ancestral seat of the noble Van Teylingen family, from which the Brederode house descended directly. Only the ‘Ruins of Teylingen’ remain from the castle.
The famous Keukenhof Gardens originated as the food gardens for this castle in the past when this was still an important fortress.
